The Austrian Federal Railways held a workshop on Target Cost contracts (German: Allianzverträge) on 10th December 2024. IGT was represented at this highly useful event by our colleagues Koch, Praxl and Seidl. The workshop consisted of presentations, interactive studies around the theme and discussions. In summary, this contract model can have advantages over traditional procurement for complex construction projects, but the limitations must be clear to all, and the contract structure thoroughly thought through.
