The mega-project 2. S-Bahn Stammstrecke (2. SBSS) München Ost is composed of suburban area/tunnel area and complimentary measurements to the railway network.
The suburban area/tunnel area involves the new construction of a twin track urban railway between the station Laim and Leuchtenbergring. Core of this connection is made up of two 7 km long tunnels.
