It’s done! On November 29, 2024, the final breakthrough of the 27.3km long Semmering Base Tunnel took place on construction lot SBT1.1 (Tunnel Gloggnitz) after 9 years of excavation.
As a JV partner of PGST Planning Consortium, IGT is involved in this project in the design as well as on site for geotechnics, site coordinator and construction management.
