The Selzthal tunnel is located on the A9 Pyhrn motorway. The west tube with approx. 1010 m was built in the 1970s, the east tube with approx. 956 m was built in the 1990s. The east tube comprises the 16 m long north gallery, a 24 m long cut-and-cover section and the 916 m long tunnel, built by conventional tunnelling methods.
The refurbishment work includes civils and M&E services. In addition, the regulations of the Austrian Road Safety Act (STSG) and any other relevant or related regulations must be observed.

Refurbishment work includes both lanes in the section between Ardning and Rottenmann. In the section mentioned above there are 7 bridges with an overall area of approx. 47,000 m² and 3 ramps on the Liezen approach road that require refurbishment. The complete bridge dewatering system will be refurbished. For deep foundation (in the form of displacement piles of up to 40m) of the 5 water protection plants located in the moor pre-stabilisation fillings are built, on which the WPPs are later installed.
