During the Austrian Tunnel Day, held in Salzburg on 12. October, the Koralm tunnel KAT2 client ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG Client was awarded the environment prize for their contribution  (engl.: Avoiding WASTE through CREATIVITY – responsible handling and use of tunnel excavation material using the example of the Koralm tunnel lot KAT2 ).
