Inspection of Austria’s longest road tunnel is performed as per RVS (Austrian roads guideline) 13.03.31 at intervals of 12 years. In addition to the tunnel itself, the ventilation shafts (with depths of several 100s of meters), respective shaft head structures, galleries, access and distribution structures are inspected. An interesting aspect of this structure is that it crosses the Rosanna river, so that the tunnel is designed as a bridge in this section.
