Semmering Basetunnel: Breakthrough construction lot SBT3.1 – section Styria

A major milestone was celebrated at the Semmering Base Tunnel. The final heading in Styria was completed with the breakthrough of the second tunnel tube to the western tunnel portal in Mürzzuschlag. This means that 97% of the Semmering base tunnel has been dug completely, with only 750 meters left on the Lower Austrian side. "Glück Auf" for the last few meters!
