Open to traffic bypass Kastelbell

The Kastelbell bypass was officially opened on Saturday, June 6, 2026. IGT provided the following services for this project: tendering and detailed design, as well as geotechnical engineering.

Good news from WTC 2026 Montreal

Thanks to great commitment from the Austrian side, it has been possible to bring the WTC 2029 to Vienna. Leading the charge is our CEO Dietmar Bach, who personally pushed forward the bid to host the congress.

Start of works celebration at the City Tunnel Feldkirch

Groundbreaking ceremony on March 6, 2026, at the Feldkirch city tunnel. Representing our team are Managing Director Christian Kitzler and Hans-Peter Seidl; IGT has been involved in this project since 2009. In addition to planning and environmental construction supervision, we are also responsible for local construction supervision (in a joint venture with 3G).

    Target Cost contracts – panacea or deception?

    18. December 2024— The Austrian Federal Railways held a workshop on Target Cost contracts (German: Allianzverträge) on 10th December 2024.

Phoenix Waste Management Award

PHÖNIX is an initiative for the Ministry for High Quality of Life in Austria and the ÖWAV – Austrian Water and Waste Management Association. The competition is open to entries throughout Austria and is in its 14th year. The objective is to find creative, practical and innovative solutions that contribute towards sustainable development in waste management. On 11.05.2016 IGT’s contribution “Responsible re-use of tunnel excavated material at Koralm tunnel lot KAT2” achieved second place for successful implementation of the project and was honoured during the Phoenix 2016 award ceremony.
