Hydropower plant Landl: Works waterway refurbishment
Excerpt
The lining of the headrace tunnel of the Landl hydropower plant has taken on damage given its age. The lining is to be replaced in critical areas. The refurbishment will make use of a reinforced in-situ concrete lining and a separate invert segment.
The hydropower plant Landl on the River Enns makes use of a 25 m head difference up to the discharge between Wandau and Landl. At the design flow rate of 120 m3/s, the plant has a nominal output of 23 MW and a yearly production capacity of 129 GWh. The unreinforced concrete lining of the headrace tunnel (6.5 to 7.5 m diameter) had taken on significant damage since its construction in 1967, principally where the tunnel passes through the geological formation “Haselgebirge”. The project concerns the refurbishment of these sections of the lining, which will be replaced with a reinforced in-situ concrete lining and a separate invert segment.
