Power plant Ebensee – contract award notice

02.10.2023 Start of works for water power plant Ebensee 

The power plant with an output of 170 MW is planned as a cavern power plant at the foot of Mt. Sonnstein with a reversible pump turbine. The altitude difference of almost 500 m between lake Traunsee and the upper water reservoir with a storage capacity of 1.32 million cucbic meters is used to generate electricity.

 

IGT in JV with partner Laabmayr ZT GmbH has been awarded for site supervision on this project
