The Granitztal tunnel chain consists of the Deutsch Grutschen and Langer Berg Tunnels, each of which are twin-bore, single track rail tunnels. Three of the four drives are now complete.

Further information on the Langer Berg Tunnel was provided at the Southern Railway Conference on 30th November 2017 at Montanuniversität Leoben, where our team members gave a presentation on the drive, including challenges of tunnel construction in anhydrite.
