On the 15^th Dec 2018, a celebration will be held together with local residents to mark the opening of the new Perjen Tunnel to traffic. The diversion of traffic to the new bore takes place on 17^th Dec, after which the refurbishment of the 40-year-old first bore will begin. This is another step on the way to improving safety for the 14,000 daily motorway users and relieving heavy traffic for the residents of Zams and Landeck.
